Real Estate

Overview

Residential real estate

Residential is the most common and consists of buying and selling a home.  We have working in the residential market for over 30 years and know the ins and outs to make your buying experience as simple and pleasurable as possible.  Let us help you purchase your dream home today

There are many ways to hold title and each has pros and cons.  The most common ways to hold title are tenancy by the entirety, which can only be help by a married couple, and tenants in common, which gives each party a 50% stack in the home.  There are also more nuanced ways to hold title such as a land trust.  Find out more about land trusts here.

 Commercial real estate

Commercial real estate consists of investing in property that will be used for business purposes.  These transactions are much more complex than residential real estate.  We also have over 30 years of experience on the commercial investing and development side so your transaction can run smoothly and profitably.

We highly recommend holding title in commercial real estate in a Corporation or an LLC.  Find out more in our business transaction section here.

This is an outline from the Attorney Title Guaranty Fund, a title company where Robert and Sean are both licensed title agents in Illinois.  This outlines the home buying process and explains why you need an attorney when purchasing a home.  For most people, a residential real estate transaction is the biggest transaction of their life.  Why not have an experienced attorney there to guide you through this monumental financial decision.
